About Francis Marshall

Francis “Fire” Marshall is a UFC lightweight with roots in Brick Township, New Jersey. He began martial arts training in his teens and developed his professional foundation under Kurt Pellegrino before relocating to South Florida to train with American Top Team. Before making fighting his full-time career, Marshall served as a firefighter in Jersey City.

Marshall made his professional debut on November 9, 2019, submitting Keith Forant by rear-naked choke in the third round. He continued through the regional circuit with four more wins before earning a place on Dana White’s Contender Series in August 2022. A unanimous decision over Connor Matthews moved him to 6–0 and secured his UFC contract.

His Octagon debut followed on December 3, 2022, when he stopped Marcelo Rojo with punches in the second round. Marshall later added UFC wins over Dennis Buzukja, Erik Silva, and Lucas Brennan. The Silva victory came by first-round rear-naked choke in Mexico City; the Brennan result was a unanimous decision on April 25, 2026.
